Moments

A midwest local once declared to me: "Kansas City is like the belly button of America".

Even with the dramatic pause I'm still not sure what he meant at the time, but this city definitely has more to offer than I was willing to admit at first.

I learned how to craft a broom using driftwood from the Missouri river and helped a bee keeper install custom hives for a local business in downtown. Antique stores are truly historic, the artists are devoted, and there's a tender support among the small business community. Maybe I'm just getting sentimental with age.

There's more to Medical School than studying nonstop, so I figured why not share some of the hidden gems from these parts? In my short time here, I offer an alternative declaration to consider: "Kansas City may seem small, but it has a mighty heart".
